What I Build
I’ve been a startup CTO building products from scratch. A Marine Corps cyber operator supporting 1,250 personnel in the Baltic Sea. A Director of Innovation shaping multi-billion dollar defense programs.
The through-line: building technology organizations that deliver when it matters most.
I don’t advise on transformation. I lead it.
How I Think About Technology
Technology roadmaps fail when they’re disconnected from organizational reality. I build technology futures by starting with these principles.
Where to Be
Where does this organization need to be in 3-5 years? Every system I architect serves a longer-term transformation–not just a project deliverable.
What to Build
What technology capabilities make that future possible? I focus on building platforms and products that create lasting organizational value.
Build vs Buy vs Partner
What must we build ourselves, what should we buy, and where do we need partners? These decisions shape competitive advantage for years.
Stakes That Matter
I learned this as a startup CTO, where strategy meets payroll every two weeks. I learned it again as a Marine, where systems that fail in the field get people hurt. Now I apply it at enterprise scale.
How I Work
Mission First
Technology serves the mission, not the other way around. I learned this as a Marine. I apply it everywhere. Every recommendation starts with: “What problem are we actually solving?”
Built to Last
I’ve seen systems fail at the worst moments–aboard ship, in the field, in production. I build for durability: systems that work when the pressure is real.
Operator’s Perspective
I’ve been the Marine waiting for data. I know what it feels like when systems fail at the worst moment. That memory shapes everything I build.
Honest Assessment
Not every problem needs AI. Not every system needs modernization. I’ll tell you what will work, what won’t, and why–even if it’s not what you want to hear.
Building for Scale
I don’t just deliver projects–I build products and platforms that create lasting value. Every product is designed to scale beyond its original use case.
GPT Initiative
Generative AI platform optimizing knowledge sharing and client engagement
FedRAMP DevOps Framework
Reusable infrastructure enabling compliant rapid deployment on Azure/AWS
IL5-Compliant Pipelines
Secure CI/CD architecture meeting DoD security requirements without sacrificing velocity
ETL Automation Tools
Custom solutions that reduced manual data processing by 60% across Navy commands
Current Focus: Leading Navaide’s GPT initiative and establishing DevOps frameworks that meet federal compliance requirements while enabling rapid iteration. Technology that ships, not technology that sits in presentations.
Enterprise Architecture
Making technology decisions at organizational scale–where architecture choices affect thousands of users and compliance is a constraint, not a checkbox.
Navy ERP Transformation
Led transformation across 12+ commands, Pacific and Atlantic fleets–not just implementation, but changing how organizations operate
SAP S/4HANA Migration
Architecting the next-generation Navy ERP+ transition–legacy modernization as transformation, not just migration
Legacy System Integration
SABRS, CFMS, Advana, COST, MAT–building bridges between what exists and what needs to be
Audit Readiness (FIAR)
Data health assessments, root cause analysis, remediation planning–creating systems that are audit-ready by design
Financial Transformation
Driving financial transformation in complex organizations–from data quality initiatives to full system modernization–creating audit-ready, decision-enabling systems.
Data Quality & Governance
ETL tool development, automated cleansing processes, master data management
Financial Systems Modernization
Moving organizations from legacy to modern platforms while maintaining operational continuity
Audit Readiness
FIAR initiatives, internal control design, compliance documentation
Process Optimization
Streamlining financial workflows to reduce cycle times and improve accuracy
Cyber & Network Operations
Eight years of Marine Corps cyber operations–understanding both the technical and operational dimensions of secure systems, from the inside out.
Operational Experience
- Data Systems Administrator – Active Directory, DNS, PKI, database administration
- Cyber Network Operator – Unified communications, warfighting systems, performance monitoring
- Command Operations Center – Single-handedly ran COC aboard USS Arlington during BALTOPS 2017
Applied to Enterprise
- Security-conscious system design from day one
- Compliance framework implementation that enables, not blocks
- Network architecture for sensitive environments
- Operational security considerations in every technology decision
Building Technology Organizations
Technology strategy means nothing without the right people executing it. I build teams that outlast any single project.
Talent Development
Creating learning cultures around AI, DevOps, and modern engineering. Hiring for trajectory, not just credentials.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Building bridges between product, operations, and executive stakeholders. Making technology decisions together.
Strategic Alignment
Ensuring technology investments create business value–not just technical achievements. Connecting every initiative to outcomes.
Developing Leaders
Building people who can eventually replace me. Creating environments where experimentation and accountability coexist.
Current Role: As Director of Innovation at Navaide, I shape company technology strategy, define the technology roadmap, lead research initiatives, secure partnerships, and direct multiple project teams across federal and commercial sectors. I work with executive teams on strategic technology discussions and build the high-performance team that makes it all happen.
