The practice

How I work

I run a small set of AI tools across the practice. They read regulations, scan opportunities, check markets, and prepare research. They give me more range and they save time. A person still makes the call.

I make the judgments and hold the relationships. A person approves what goes out. Six tools, six views of the same problem. That range is the point.

These tools draft and check. A person reviews every output before it leaves the firm.

The tools I use

Six tools

FARchat

Reads the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the agency supplements, and answers questions in plain English with a citation.

Evidence:
Indexes 13 federal regulation libraries, from FAR and DFARS to agency supplements; the landing page states it and the answer view cites a clause. (captured 2026-11-08)
Limits:
Answers are generated. Every answer links to a clause, and the clause is what you rely on. It is in beta, and it is not legal advice.

GovIntel

A government-contracting intelligence workspace: opportunities, agencies and the capture record in one place.

Evidence:
Live at this address as a fractional-CGO workspace. (tool page, 2026-11-08)
Limits:
It reads public sources. It does not know what is not published, and it does not decide whether a pursuit is worth your bid.

SBIR Portal

Searches active DoD SBIR/STTR topics and shows what each one asks for.

Evidence:
Searches every active DoD SBIR/STTR topic, free and without an account. (captured 2026-11-08)
Limits:
It lists topics and their language. It does not score your fit against them, and it does not write a proposal.

EconPulse

Local economic data: how a town or region is doing, against the national picture.

Evidence:
Live at this address and serving the local-economy view. (tool page, 2026-11-08)
Limits:
It reports published data. It does not forecast, and it does not tell you what a number means for a specific contract.

GovRadar

Tracks executive orders, rules and proposed rules, and writes an impact analysis for each.

Evidence:
Tracks federal policy actions and publishes an impact analysis per item. (captured 2026-11-08)
Limits:
It reads the text of a rule. It cannot tell you how an agency will implement it, and it is not a legal opinion.

StudyBot

Generates study cards from a topic, so a body of material can be rehearsed.

Evidence:
Generates ten study-ready flashcards from any topic. (captured 2026-11-08)
Limits:
It generates study material. It does not check compliance, and it is not a substitute for reading the control or the clause.

Bring this setup to your firm

If you want the same operating model on your work, start with a short call.

For sensitive work, HARBOR Helm is the private workspace: it runs on the models the firm chooses, keeps approvals with a person, and writes the record. See how HARBOR Helm works. (opens in new tab)
